He was born in Ankara in 1964. After completing his primary and secondary educations in Ankara and Istanbul, he graduated as a medical doctor from the GATA (Gulhane Military Medical Academy) Medical School in1988. After serving as a general practitioner for 2 years in Izmit-Kandira, he studied to become a specialist physician between 1991 and 1996 at the Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic of GATA Haydarpasa Training Hospital in Istanbul. He served as a specialist at Diyarbakir Military Hospital between 1996 and 1997. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor at GATA Haydarpasa Training Hospital in 1997.
As an observer, he accompanied Prof. Dr. J. Bostwick III at Emory University in the US-Georgia (Atlanta) between 1999 and 2000. He was granted the title of university associate professor in March 2003, and the title of professor in April 2009. In June 2009, he was assigned as a department chief at the Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic of GATA Haydarpasa Training Hospital in Istanbul. In April 2011, he resigned from this position due to the full-time work law, and retired from TSK (Turkish Armed Forces). Ever since that date, he has served at his private office in Istanbul-Kadıkoy-Fenerbahce, and has performed his surgeries at Kadikoy Florence Nightingale Hospital.
He is a member in the Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association (TPRCD), the Turkish Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS).
