I became a university associate professor in March 2003 and a professor in April 2009. In June 2009, I was appointed as the chief of service at Istanbul GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital, Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic. During my academic career, I took an active part in many scientific meetings both at home and abroad. I retired from the Turkish Armed Forces by resigning from this duty of my own accord due to the Full Day Law in April 2011, and I continue to work in my private practice in Fenerbahçe, where I am now. We perform our surgeries at Kadıköy Florence Nightingale Hospital.
